A child is never identified

A student's name never appears on this site — not in a page, not in a web address, not in an image's alt text, and not in anything our API returns. Names exist for internal review and for the permission agreement itself. Credit on a listing is an age band and a country.

A photograph of a painting carries information about the child that the painting does not: a phone writes location coordinates, a device id and a timestamp into every picture it takes. We remove those before the image is stored, so it is data we never keep rather than data we promise to look after.

The painter who makes your reproduction receives the artwork and nothing about the child who made it.

What we hold, and why

If you buy something, we hold the email address you gave us, the address the painting ships to, and the history of that order. Card details go to our payment provider and never reach us.

If your child's art studio has asked us for permission to list their work, we hold the email address the studio gave us for you, your child's record at the studio, and your decision — including a refusal or a withdrawal. The record of a decision is what keeps the decision honest, so it is kept rather than erased when you say no.

For partner studios we hold the contact details in the contract and the student records the studio itself maintains.

Email

Every email we send is triggered by one event and goes to one person. There is no newsletter and no campaign. We do not import, buy or rent addresses, and we do not use yours for anything other than the thing that prompted it.

A guardian who does not reply is reminded at most three times, a week apart, and the reminders stop the moment you sign or decline. We never email a child.

Who else handles it

Payments are processed by Stripe. The site, our database and our email run on Amazon Web Services. Image enhancement runs through Google's Gemini models, which receive the painting and nothing about the child. We use no advertising or analytics trackers, and we sell nothing about you to anyone.

Changing your mind

A guardian can withdraw permission at any time, in one sentence, with no account and no link needed — email hello@artavora.com or tell your child's art teacher. We stop listing the work and remove the child's details. The original painting was always the family's and is never sold.

What is not settled yet

We are not open for orders yet, and this page describes the system as it is built rather than a policy a lawyer has signed. Our review of children's privacy law is not finished, and which country's rules govern us depends on where we open — which we have not decided. This page will change when that lands, and we would rather say so than imply a completeness we do not have.
